WYLIE, TEXAS — Giving back is important to Brightway, The Lunte Family Agency so after opening two years ago, Agency Owner, Maegan Lunte, decided to start an annual Brightway Gives Back campaign to give back to an organization in her local community. In its first year, the Agency raised money for In-Sync Exotics and in 2019, Lunte committed to donating $2 for every insurance quote provided through the end of the year to Friends of Wylie Fire Rescue. On Monday, Feb. 24, Lunte attended the Friends’ Board of Directors meeting and presented a check in the amount of $750 to the non-profit organization that supports the Wylie Fire Rescue in ways the city budget cannot.
“We live and work here and helping our friends and neighbors is important to us,” said Lunte. “We’re pleased to donate $750 to Friends of Wylie Fire Rescue to support their programs that benefit our local firefighters.”
“Our firefighters put their lives on the line every day, so we’re grateful for donations, like the generous contribution from Maegan Lunte and her team at Brightway Insurance. Such charitable giving helps cover costs for special programs for our firefighters and their families,” said Friends Board President, Amber Barber.
In addition to the check presentation, Lunte announced the recipient of this year’s Brightway Gives Back campaign is Wylie Acting Group, a non-profit organization that educates and enriches the lives of children and families through the magic of community theatre. The Agency is donating $2 for every insurance quote they provide to the organization. Proceeds will help cover production costs such as royalties, scripts, sets, the building and more.
“Donating is simple. All you have to do is call, email or stop by our office to request a free quote on your insurance, and we’ll make a $2 donation on your behalf,” Lunte added.
“We’re ecstatic to partner with Maegan Lunte and her team and appreciate the support provided by businesses here in Wylie, like Brightway,” said President of the Wylie Acting Group Board of Directors, Nancy Whitney. “We put on six productions a year and host a summer camp series for youth and wouldn’t be able to do the amazing work that supports the arts and education provided through these events without the amazing work of our volunteers and financial donations.”
