Born and raised in Slidell, Johnson graduated from Slidell High School in 1991 and attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and the University of New Orleans. For the past 14 years, he has worked as a top-rated Health Insurance Agent, assisting individuals, small businesses and Medicare-eligible clients. Johnson married his high school sweetheart, Jenny (Minton) Johnson, nearly 25 years ago and the two have three children: Jordan (age 22), Emma (age 18) and Carson (age 16). Additionally, he has been involved in many church, civic and volunteer organizations over the past two decades and has served on various community boards appointed by the Mayor and City Council, as well as state-level committees and boards. For many years, he served as the President of Slidell High School’s PTA and coached youth baseball. For fun, he enjoys spending time with his family, usually traveling for leisure or to watch his son play competitive baseball around the Gulf Coast.
