After spending more than twenty years in sales and real estate, as well as more than a decade working in international industry, Greenville resident Kevin Walsh is launching a business that will put his global experience to work as he helps his neighbors right here at home in the Upstate. 

After volunteering throughout his career with everything from Meals on Wheels in Greenville to Habitat for Humanity in Orlando, Florida, Walsh is now opening a new venture that will put his passion for service to work full-time in the Palmetto State. 

Walsh will open the doors of “Brightway, The Walsh Agency” Insurance June 13. Services provided out of the 1200 Woodruff Road storefront in Greenville will include customized Home, Flood, Auto, Boat, Condo, Renters, Personal Articles, RV, Motorcycle, Umbrella, and Life insurance policies from numerous insurance companies. 

“Customer service has been at the heart of my career. And now, I get to put it to work right here in the Upstate,” Walsh said. A native of South Florida, Walsh, and his family first moved to Greenville in 2015. Walsh and his wife, Apryl, have five adult children and are proud to call Greenville their home.  

“When we decided to move here, it was a family decision. Even my youngest, who just graduated from East Side High School last week, was onboard,” Walsh added. “With my wife working within the Greenville County Schools and my children all living close by, opening ‘Brightway, The Walsh Agency’ here was a perfect fit.”  

Walsh previously worked remotely for AVI International, a French-travel insurance company, providing coverage for families of exchange students studying around the world. The Grand Canyon University graduate holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. 

“With Brightway, I’m excited about being able to provide my neighbors with what they want and what they need when it comes to coverage,” Walsh said. “It’s a privilege to find new ways to serve them through business and beyond.” Brightway, The Walsh Agency Insurance will directly serve the Upstate and areas in Western North Carolina, and can write business throughout both states 

Brightway’s corporate office staff provides expertise and support in areas including customer service, technology, accounting, marketing, distribution and business analytics. In addition, Brightway handles carrier relations and appointments, as well as support with personnel hiring, licensing, onboarding, training and retention.
